I am a Southern Belle through and through. I was raised in Arkansas and Louisiana and grew up wishing to be Scarlett O’Hara… or an otter.

I graduated from University of Arkansas with a bachelors degree in English, creative writing, and journalism, but that’s only because shoe shopping isn’t currently offered as a degree program at any major university yet.

I spend much of my non-writing time being an executive assistant to my son, Preston, who along with my better half, Joe, provide me with non-stop comedy.  We’re total geeks (like sitting around discussing the periodic table type of geeks) and I love it.

It’s a pretty fulfilling existence I lead.
